Things you should know about getting dreadlocks....

There's a few things you should know about dreadlocks before you break out da wax. Were not trying to discourage anyone here, we just want you to have the facts so you don't do something you'll regret. Last thing we want to do is upset some hippy and have him trying to give us bad karma or something.

Development. That's right, dreadlocks are not an instant hairstyle like getting a new haircut. If you let them come together on their own, they would look frizzy and whack for about 6 months. Fortunately your dreads will look great right after you do them. Why are you so special? Well you found the HQ baby! With our sweet smelling wax you'll be able to sport your phatty new dreadlocks the same day you knot 'em up.

They will look like dreads but they won't really be dreads until they mature and tighten. They will just be very knotted hair. These newbie dreadlocks will be pretty delicate and need to be palmrolled to keep them tight. The "Care For New Dreadlocks" section otherwise know as the "Spoil them knotty lil brats" section explains the stages, and tells you how to keep them healthy and looking their best every step of the way.

Twist, Twist. Until your dreadlocks mature you'll need to play with 'em allot. You could just dread'em, wax'em and let them do their own thing, but the more you twist and tangle the roots and the ends the faster they will grow into tight healthy knotty dreads. So there is some work involved, especially at first.

Chicks. Sorry guys, chicks love dreadlocks. You might want to add one large wooden stick to the "What you'll need" section, cause you're gunna need something to beat off all the babes chasing you down.

Guys. Sorry girlies, guys love dreads too. You better also add one large stick.
