So what’s it all about?

It’s become quite apparent over the past few years that many of our brothers and sisters in knottiness are wicked talented.  Since our loyal friends have done such a great job supporting us, we decided that we wanted to do the same for them.  We spent many sleepless nights pondering how we could possibly give back to our fellow dreadheads.  Nights turned into days and finally one day it hit us like a freight train.  It was at that moment that a new and improved Sponsorship program was born!  We realized that not only can we showcase our talented and gifted friends, but we could also give them the encouragement and acknowledgement that many of them weren’t receiving.  We want to support all our friends as much as possible so if you think you’ve got what it takes to become an official sponsor of Dreadhead HQ, keep reading!

 

What does it mean to be sponsored?

Being sponsored means so much more than just slappin a sticker on your skateboard and bustin out a totally sick McTwist.  Sponsorship means that you become an official representative of Dreadhead HQ.  We want our sponsors to spread the word about dreadlocks and, of course, their favorite company!  If we choose to sponsor you, you’ll get dreadlock products, accessories, gear, posters, stickers, shirts, and hats to just name a few items.  We give you discounts and products based on how much promoting you do while you’re sponsored so the more you promote us, the more cool stuff you’ll get in return!

 

Do I qualify?

Do you do something cool?  We’re looking for super talented kids who participate in all different kinds of activities.  Here’s a list of some of the talents we sponsor.

Extreme Sports
                Skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, Motocross, Wakeboarding, Roller Derby, etc

Visual arts and composition
                Writers, painters, sculptors, graphic artists

Musicians
                Bands, vocalists, DJ’s, singer/songwriters

Performance arts
                Dancers (ballet, tap, jazz, exotic, etc.), break dancers, actors and actresses, models

Activists
                Environmental, political, animal rights, etc

Competitive sports
                baseball, football, soccer, gymnastics, bobsledding, volleyball, lacrosse, etc

 

How do I get started?

First you need to contact us and let us know that you’re interested.  We’ll send you out an application for you to fill out.  Once you’ve filled the application out, send it back in with all the required paperwork and pictures.  As soon as we approve your application, you’ll be well on your way to dreadlock sponsorship heaven!
